Summer In Kelowna? Team Audi's Favourite Summer Activities.

The best weather, beaches, trails, patios, and festivals - Kelowna has it all! Summer in the Okanagan is amazing. The average daytime highs are in the high 20's and there is SO much to do! With our amazing weather, outdoor activities are a must. Whether you bike the Okanagan Bike Trail, rent a pontoon boat to discover the nooks of the Okanagan or make a Sunday afternoon winery visit, you won't be disappointed.

1. Naramata Wine/Rail Trail
This 8km long Rail Trail starts in Penticton and becomes the Kettle Valley Rail Trail as you go.
It's a beautiful journey, with vineyards and scenic lookouts and makes a special hike/walk too. We recommend starting in the morning, as afternoon temperatures can become quite extreme. Accommodations, delightful restaurants and amenities line the trail. The trail is flat with packed down gravel making it accessible to all. We also enjoy the Kalamalka Lake, which has a limestone bottom giving the water a beautiful blue-green colour.

2. Rent a Watercraft
Renting a boat can be much easier than owning. Rent a pontoon boat, invite friends, fire up the BBQ, and lounge anywhere on the Okanagan Lake.  You can swim and explore and the 'nooks' of the Okanagan never get old.

3. Wineries/Food
This is, in our opinion, the next best way to spend a Sunday (#1 is on the lake). Some of our favourites include the 8th Generation Vineyard just outside of Kelowna near Summerland, BC and the Hatch Wines in Kelowna. 8th Generation is a hands-on, true family winery and the Hatch Wines is a fun stop, with great wine tasting.

4. Golf
The Okanagan has no shortage of opportunities for golf, with over 30 courses to choose. All courses offer spectacular views and the outstanding and challenging designs. Predator Ridge (between Kelowna & Vernon) and Tower Ranch (Kelowna) are two of our favourites. When your round is complete, you can still hit the lake or a nearby terrace. Never a bad day in the Okanagan!

Kelowna comes alive in the summer with so many great activity choices. The only challenge you will have is deciding where to start!
